Meet Dr. Courtney Brady
I believe that every person should have a smile that is comfortable, healthy, and that makes them proud. Not every person has the same definition of an ideal smile so I strive to help people identify their goals and then combine them with a plan that also ensures long-term health and restoration back to a natural form and function.
Achieving these types of goals requires a different way of looking at dentistry. Medicine has moved away from waiting for a problem to treat and instead has taken a more preventive and early restorative focus. In order to offer this progressive and high quality care, I stay ahead of new advancements in my field by taking extensive hours of continuing education. I also lead a Spear Study Club wherein a selective group of general dentists and specialists meet once a month to discuss cases and learn new techniques. My passion for continued learning and dentistry overall instills an innate drive to provide the highest quality care to each of my patients in a warm and welcoming environment.
Education and Experience
- Undergraduate Degree-Northeastern University
- Doctorate of Dental Medicine-Boston University Goldman School of Dental Medicine
- Advanced Education in General Dentistry Residency-University of Florida
I was the first graduate of my dental school to be accepted into the University of Florida's prestigious residency. There, I was introduced to comprehensive dentistry and learned from leaders in the field like Dr. Peter Dawson. Through my residency, I achieved my fellowship in the International Congress of Oral Implantologists. Understanding each facet of implantology, from treatment planning to surgery, has allowed me to hone in on my skills of restoring implants so they look and function naturally in the mouth. My residency heightened my knowledge in each facet of dentistry, which better allows me to view treatments comprehensively. The focus in my own practice of treatment has centered around restoring smiles, occlusion (the bite), TMJ, and aesthetics.
In the Dental Community
I am acting president for the Massachusetts constituency of the Academy of General Dentistry (AGD). I recently completed a four-year term as a member for the AGD's national Scientific Meetings Council. I have spoken on behalf of the AGD to dental students at their national meeting and I mentor students locally. I have been involved with multiple committees for the Massachusetts Dental Society including the Legislative and Governmental Affairs Committee and the Yankee Dental Congress planning committee. I completed the MDS's Leadership Institute and in 2016, I was selected as one of Massachusetts Dental Society’s Ten under 10 Award recipients.
Outside the Office
I am a native of Cape Cod, so I was raised (and still survive on) salt air. My husband and I retreat to the Cape any chance we get to be with family and catch one of those gorgeous bayside sunsets. I love working out and have recently found a love for indoor spin classes. Family and friends are very important to my husband and me, so we will often find any sport-related excuse to host for all to gather.
